Sunday 3rd September – 70th Anniversary Tea
Non Walkers 3pm at Holy Trinity Church Above Stroud Hospital
Short Walk 2½ miles, 475 ft ascent. Leader: Penny Fernando. Canal Towpath – Gunhouse Lane – The Heavens – Bowbridge Lane – Holy Trinity Church
Meet in London Road Car Park (free on Sundays) for 1.30pm start
Long Walk 9 miles grade 2 Rodborough, Ice cream, Brimscombe, Pub, The Heavens, The Horns, The Cemetery. Quite hilly.

EASTCOMBE TO FRANCE LYNCH & BISLEY .
Meet at the rear of Cheapside carpark by Stroud railway station and the old ‘ Hill Paul ‘ building at 5.00pm to car share by phoning Geoff on 01453 758093 . If no one rings , leader will go directly to the start .
Walk starts at 5.30 pm after parking outside but not in The Lamb Inn , Eastcombe , either on ‘ the triangle ‘ or along Dr. Crouch’s Road opposite the school . Walk is 3.5 miles at grade 1+ . Mileage is £1.00 .Pub stop at end .Non walkers welcome .

Ups and downs around Stroud with a bit of level canal. Winstone’s for elevenses, picnic lunch amongst the gravestones.
Slight variation on my Good Friday walk.

Merring Meend to Littledean Hill .
Walk includes woodland , heathland and magnificent views of the ‘ Horseshoe Bend ‘ .

01453 758093 or park in the Merring Meend Nature Reserve carpark just off the A4136 near the summit of Plump Hill above Mitcheldean signposted ‘ The Wilderness ‘ at grid reference SO 658 170 for a 9.45am start . Walk is 8 miles at grade 2+ with a picnic lunch . Mileage is £3.50 .
